Safer Spaces & Community Guidelines
Everything we do at Brinny Does is built around one simple idea:
People participate differently depending on the environment around them.
Whether you're attending a workshop, joining Queer Strength Club, working with me one-to-one or participating in a community event, I ask everyone to help create spaces that are respectful, inclusive and supportive.
Always aim to:
Lead with curiosity rather than assumptions
Respect people's identities, experiences and boundaries
Use people's names and pronouns
Welcome different communication styles, access needs and ways of participating
Support progress over perfection
Asking participants to:
Treat others with respect and kindness
Avoid discriminatory, abusive or harmful language
Respect personal boundaries and consent
Maintain confidentiality within group spaces where appropriate
Avoid taking photographs or recordings without permission
Inclusion is a practice:
Inclusion is a practice, not perfection.
If mistakes occur, we encourage people to listen, learn, apologise where appropriate and move forward with respect.
My commitment:
As an AuDHD and non-binary practitioner, I understand what it feels like to navigate environments that weren't designed with you in mind.
My aim is to create spaces where people feel safer, more supported and more able to participate as themselves.
If something isn't working for you, I welcome feedback and conversation.
